First, make sure of that I don't have the file.
If it is a new version that I don't have, please send me a mail, not the files!
I'm probably updateing the site as you write the mail to me.
If you have a version that I don't, then send me a link to that file or send me the ORIGINAL zip/exe.

How to report a corrupt file:
Make sure of that the file is corrupt by downloading at least two times. (Delete the old file, do not resume or overwrite) If the file still is to small, has CRC error or is corrupt in any other way, send an e-mail to webmaster (a) winampheaven . net

Site History

This site was started sometime in 1998 when I though that Nullsofts site (www.winamp.com) was to slow.
First it was just meant for my self so that I could download Winamp faster when I wasn't at home.
I looked around searching for a free site with lots of disk space and found Xoom.com
At first I didn't even have a index.htm... more like a FTP server. After a while a noticed on IRC (EFnet) that there where more people than I thought that were downloading from my site. Then I made a 2 min layout with links to the files and a counter. The year passed away and then I got in contact with ALIEN from TeaRDoWN and he made a real layout for my site. (Thank you again =) )
In the end of 1999 Xoom had a lot of troubble with their sites and I had to find a mirror site,
and found Crosswinds.net. (Both Xoom and Crosswinds where slow at this time)
In the summer of 2000 I where able to put up my own server on a fast connection, but this was only over the summer. (I'm still looking for a new place for my server).
Time flies when you have fun... it is now summer 2002 and I just got mirror #4 online thanks to Jeremy in USA.
At this time my counter says 94839 visitors... not bad for a "private Winamp dump" =)
Today, (2002-10-30) we finally crossed the 100000 visitors line. Hurray!
The year is now 2003 and the last month has been something extra. It all stated with a missunderstanding and after a pre-release of Winamp 2.92 the site was over-crouded. In June there was 19024 visitors, and the counter show 130786.
The year is now 2005, and the site is still running. Layout is stil very simple, but I have added php-script to stop the leeching of files from other websites. We still have ~14000 visits /month or an avrage of 450 visits a day. The server is now getting old and I had to put up a banner in a try to get money for new server parts.
The banners didnt last for long, "thanks" to Google and their cheating Adsense program, accusing me of cheating with clickrobots. I had to replace the powersupply and some fans in early 2006. A change of ISP caused a 1.5 month downtime for the primary server, but thanks to a friend the site moved on a temporary site during this time. He also re-wrote the entire site into PHP, Thank you again NiXZe!
